Contract Position Title:
Family Nurse Practitioner Preceptor (Private Practice)
Location:
Portland, OR (or surrounding metro area)
Setting:
Independent Primary Care Practice Position Type:
Part-time/Contract (Clinical Rotation)
Compensation:
Preceptors receive a monthly stipend of $500 per student. About the Practice Jade Health and Wellness is an integrated outpatient clinic focused on whole-person care, combining behavioral health, psychiatric services, wellness support, and collaborative healthcare approaches. We are expanding our interdisciplinary services and are looking for an FNP who values patient-centered care, collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth. Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic FNP student (MSN or DNP) for a clinical rotation. The preceptor will provide hands-on training, mentorship, and supervision in a private practice setting. The goal is to bridge the gap between classroom theory and daily clinical reality, helping the student transition to a confident, competent provider.
Responsibilities Clinical Mentorship:
Actively instruct the student on patient assessments, diagnostic reasoning, treatment planning, and health promotion.
Supervision:
Provide direct, on-site supervision of the student during patient visits.
Patient Care:
Guide the student through charting, ordering/interpreting diagnostics, and prescribing medications within the Oregon scope of practice.
Feedback & Evaluation:
Offer regular, constructive feedback after encounters and complete formal student evaluations at midterm and final.
Clinical Workflow:
Integrate the student into daily workflows, allowing them to take on increasing responsibility over time.
