Oncology Program Position Summary:
The Medical College of Wisconsin's Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant, Oncology Program is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary or specialty medical care in a Hybrid capacity. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI at the Children's Wisconsin Hospital campus. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.Position Highlights:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, providing direct patient care to children under the care of the inpatient and outpatient oncology service. Services will be performed in the Inpatient and/or Outpatient Oncology unit with the potential to also provide support in the Day Hospital and/or Procedures unit. The primary patient population includes oncology patients, ranging from infants to young adults. Occasional flex to support BMT and/or Hematology services may be required. The APP will contribute to excellence in patient care, research, quality improvement, patient safety, and teaching. This position will support work at the Milwaukee campus and may be asked to support expansion of services at regional sites. This role will report to theDivision's APP Manager Schedule:
Full-time Expectations for coverage during core business hours and flexibility required as necessary to accommodate clinical needs. Hours will be within the service's typical hours of operation, ranging from 6am- 6pm, Monday-Friday.
