Overview Join our thriving endocrinology healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and improve health outcomes. The potential exists for six figure salary once endocrine training is complete and your schedule reaches full capacity. This position is paid and designed to challenge and reward dedicated healthcare professionals eager to make a difference. Responsibilities Evaluate, treat and follow up with our patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) to document patient encounters in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. Educate our patients and caregivers on medication administration, disease management, nutrition, and preventive care strategies. Knowledge and familiarity with CPT coding, ICD coding, and national documentation standards. Requirements Valid West Virginia licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification from recognized boards (e.g., NCCPA). Demonstrated experience working in fast-paced environments such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), emergency rooms, or outpatient clinics. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; experience with CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) is preferred. Strong clinical skills including physical examinations, diagnostic evaluation, and medication administration. Knowledge of specialty areas including endocrinology preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and education across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information; experience with medical documentation standards is essential. Minimum of one year advanced practice experience.
