Responsibilities:

Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information; reporting observations of the resident to nurses. Provides patient omfort by answering patient/resident call lights and requests; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals. Protects healthcare organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches. Serves and protects the healthcare community by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and JCAHO standards. Assist residents with routine health directions from a physician, nurse or therapist. Provides patient/resident support by assisting with travel to the bathroom; feeding patient/residents; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients/residents; applying restraints; transporting patients/residents; serving meals, blood glucose Maintain education as assigned in Healthstream Position requires frequent standing and walking, along with lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping/crouching, and occasional sitting. Maintain occupational health records as needed per USA Health Policy Run Errands for nurse and Physcian as needed Work as a team and promote quality outcomes for patients communication in a professional manner report changes to nurse, record all documentation in a timely manner, Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards Regular and prompt attendance Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required Related duties as assigned

Additional Information:

Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year of related experience Required CNA

• Certified Nursing Assistant Upon Hire Required BCLS
• Basic Life Support within 30 Days Required Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
