The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, urgent care facilities, and pediatric units. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Provide basic care to patients in acute care settings and those with developmental disabilities. Support nursing staff by preparing equipment and assisting during medical procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas. Communicate effectively with patients and their families about care plans and needs. Document patient information accurately in medical records as required. Skills Strong caregiving abilities with a focus on empathy and patient-centered care. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to understand patient needs effectively. Experience in pediatrics or working with children in a healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and urgent care protocols. Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and respond to changes in patient conditions. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is an asset. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
