We are seeking a compassionate and skilled CNA or PCT to work directly under licensed medical providers, assisting in patient care following clinic policies and procedures. This patient-facing role requires excellent communication with patients, families, and healthcare staff.Key Responsibilities:
Obtain vital signs and monitor patient health through visual and physical examinations Maintain patient records and accurately document clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR), including vital signs, review of systems, patient history, and allergies Communicate patient status with medical providers and nursing staff Monitor referrals, labs, imaging, and reports to ensure processes are followed and EMR information is accurate and complete Assess patient reactions to medications and treatments Maintain and coordinate medical inventory, documenting accordingly Act as a resource within the clinic for staff members and patients Promote teamwork by assisting with department activities and collaborating with team members Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Serve as a liaison between patients and medical providers, addressing questions and concerns Represent the clinic professionally in person, over the telephone, and within the community Assist in maintaining an efficient, safe, secure, orderly, and aseptic environment for all patients and employees Adhere to OSHA Standards, Hazardous Materials protocols, Universal Precautions, and use of personal protective equipment Familiarity withEvacuation, Fire, Disaster, and Safety Plans Note:
This is a safety-sensitive positionAvailability:
Must be available to work one Saturday clinic every six weeks (9 AM- 12 PM) Regular workdays start at 8 AM and ends at 5 PM Attendance is an essential function of this job
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a clinic setting Knowledge of HIPAA regulations Understanding of basic principles of health promotion, prevention, and motivation Familiarity with medical office protocols and ability to quickly learn current operational procedures Knowledge of medical terminology and appropriate abbreviations Understanding of the Arkansas Nursing Practice Act Proficiency in using a PC for data entry and navigating EMRs Ability to multitask while remaining compassionate and patient-focused Strong reading and comprehension skills for medical instructions, correspondence, and memos Ability to work cooperatively with other medical offices, emergency rooms, and specialists to coordinate patient services Willingness to learn and operate office and medical equipment, including computers, fax machines, telephones, copiers, EKG machines, spirometry, audiometry equipment, electrosurgical units, cryosurgery equipment, and autoclaves Ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectivelyPhysical Requirements:
Work in a typical family clinic environment with frequent computer use and close eye work Ability to hear normal and soft tones and distinguish smells and temperatures by touch and proximity Frequent exposure to fumes, odors, water, and biological hazards Finger dexterity, talking, and repetitive motion tasks Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. (rarely), carry up to 40 lbs., and push/pull up to 350 lbs. (rarely) Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching Occasional stress related to patient load Strong communication skills: interpersonal, phone, and written documentationBenefits:
