Job Description

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director, this position provides professional, skilled age-specific nursing care for patients in collaboration with the physician and other disciplines. Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs patient-related tasks, including direct patient care, vital signs, daily ADLs, clinical procedures, and other tasks as requested. The CNA will also communicate patient needs and observe/report changes in the patient's condition to the supervising Nurse or Physician while documenting all interactions in the patient's medical record.
Hourly Pay Rate:
$24.00
Qualifications Education:
Prefers a high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
Prefer at least one (1) year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare-related experience.
Specialized Training:
Must successfully complete approved Valleywise Health computer classes.
Certification/Licensure:
Requires licensure through the AZ Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant. A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months. Ambulatory Clinics/Desert Vista - Unit 2
Adolescent:
Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bilingual is preferred. Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people. Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English. Must be able to float to all departments as needed. Must be able to meet the conditions as stated in the employment agreement.
