Ortho:
totals-knees, hips, shoulders; knee and shoulder scopes, TSAs (a lot); Urology-don't do many nephrectomies but everything else from cystos, ESWLs, TURPS, penile prothesis, orchiectomies, open prostates (not required); GYN-lots of hysters, D&C, slings, robotic hysters, a lot of GYN oncology, salphingooophrectomy; neuro•a lot of ortho spine, brain tumors, cranis, subdural hematomas, transsphenoidal tumors, VP shunts; hands, podiatry, DaVinci, vascular-a lot of small stuff AV fistulas, thrombectomies, carotids, endarterectomies, fem pops-open; general surgery-open, lap, robotics; ENT-tonsils, adenoids, pediatrics ENT, bariatrics, and eyes Experience or 'Must have' skills: Ortho, robotics (deal breaker if they do not have experience), neuro, gyn (SW) experience. Weekends=May be call weekends Call= Yes Weekly guaranteed hours= 40 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts depending on unit need at the time Certifications and licenses=

Registered nurses (RNs) perform basic duties that include treating patients, educating patients about mental and medical conditions, and providing advice and emotional support to patients and/or family members, running therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, and seclusion and restraint of patients. RNs record patients' medical histories and symptoms, help to perform diagnostic tests and analyze results, operate medical machinery, administer treatment and medications, and help with patient follow-up and rehabilitation. RNs teach patients and their families how to manage their illness or injury, diet and exercise programs, and self-administration of medication and physical therapy. Other related duties.
