This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in elder care, dementia care, and personal care services , who can communicate fluently in Mandarin Chinese to support clients and families. As a Caregiver / Home Care Aide (HCA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) , you will provide non-medical home care services , helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. Key Responsibilities (Caregiver Duties) Provide companionship, conversation, and social engagement (Mandarin-speaking clients) Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) : Bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hygiene Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation Provide Alzheimer's care and dementia care , including memory support and redirection Prepare nutritious meals (familiarity with Chinese cuisine is a plus) Provide medication reminders (non-medical) Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, organizing) Provide transportation or accompaniment to appointments and errands (if applicable) Monitor and report changes in condition Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols Required Qualifications Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (required) Experience as a caregiver, home care aide, CNA, HHA, or personal care assistant Experience with senior care, elderly care, or memory care Ability to pass background check / Live Scan (California HCA requirements) Current TB test (if required) Authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications / Keywords Alzheimer's care / Dementia care experience Hospice care / Palliative care support Home health aide (HHA) experience Patient care / Personal care attendant (PCA) Experience in home care, assisted living, or skilled nursing facilities Experience with bed-bound clients, transfers, gait belt use Fall prevention and safety awareness Key Skills & Abilities Compassionate, patient, and dependable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to engage clients in conversation, activities, and cognitive stimulation Cultural sensitivity with Mandarin-speaking seniors and families Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic Additional Requirements Driving is not required; however, reliable transportation to and from client assignments is required Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed Willingness to work flexible schedules (full-time, part-time, weekends) Why Join Our Team Competitive pay (DOE) Flexible scheduling (full-time, part-time, per diem shifts) Supportive team and responsive office staff Ongoing caregiver training and career growth opportunities Meaningful, rewarding work helping seniors live safely at home
