The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical nursing background along with teaching experience, and will be responsible for delivering CDPH-approved curriculum, supervising students during clinical rotations, and ensuring compliance with state training standards. The CNA Instructor will play a key role in preparing students for the CNA certification exam and successful entry into the healthcare workforce.
Responsibilities:
Deliver classroom instruction and skills lab training in accordance with the CDPH-approved CNA curriculum Supervise and evaluate students during clinical rotations in skilled nursing facilities or other approved clinical sites Demonstrate and instruct students on nursing assistant skills, including vital signs, ADLs, infection control, and patient safety procedures Evaluate student performance through skills checklists, written exams, and clinical documentation review Provide mentorship and support to students, fostering a positive and disciplined learning environment Maintain accurate student attendance, grading, and clinical hour records in compliance with CDPH/Title 22 requirements Collaborate with the Director of Staff Development (DSD) and program administration on curriculum updates and program improvement Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to ongoing program development
Requirements and Experience:
Active RN or LVN license in California Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (RN or LVN) At least one (1) of those years must be providing direct care to chronically ill or elderly patients in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice, or other long-term care setting
Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
