Job Description

Position Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will play a pivotal role in providing healthcare services to clients with behavioral health needs within a low barrier shelter setting. The CNA will work with the Care Teams to assess client's physical needs, including assisting with daily living skills and wound care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Provide compassionate and person-centered care to individuals with behavioral health needs. Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility. Collaborate with the nursing and mental health team to implement individualized care plans. Assist in the implementation of behavioral interventions and crisis management strategies. Support clients in engaging with therapeutic activities and programs. Accurately document client interactions, care provided, and any observed changes in behavior or health. Respond calmly and effectively to behavioral health crises, following established protocols. Collaborate with supervisory and mental health staff to implement crisis intervention strategies. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
