Montclair, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $22 - $24 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid orientation Flexible schedule Retirement plan Qualifications Hospice experience Assisting with ADLs Patient interaction CNA Bathing assistance Full Job Description Job Summary Provide compassionate personal care and support to hospice patients in their homes, assisted-living facilities, or skilled nursing facilities. The goal is to promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients receiving end-of-life care. Essential Duties Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, skin care, and nail care. Help patients with toileting, bedpans, urinals, and bathroom assistance. Assist with eating, meal preparation, and special diets. Help with positioning, transfers, walking, and mobility using assistive devices when needed. Assist with prescribed range-of-motion exercises as directed by nursing staff. Apply non-prescription topical ointments as instructed. Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Assist with routine ostomy care when appropriate. Document care provided and complete required charting. Observe and report changes in the patient's physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse. Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and the hospice team. Qualifications Current California CHHA certification (and/or CNA certification if required by the employer). Hospice experience is often preferred. CPR certification. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patient locations. Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills. Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
