ASAP Make an Impact in a School Setting Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with school-based or pediatric experience to support students in a school setting in Montebello, CA . This role is ideal for CNAs who enjoy working with children and want a consistent weekday schedule with no nights or weekends. Position Overview As a School-Based CNA / School Aide , you will provide support across 1:1 care, classroom assistance, and health office settings . You will work under the supervision of the district school nurse or clinical designee to ensure students receive the care and support needed to thrive academically and physically. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 support for students with medical, developmental, or behavioral needs Assist in the classroom setting with instructional and behavioral support Support students with personal care needs , including hygiene and mobility assistance Assist in the health office/clinic with basic care and student monitoring Provide basic health services as directed by the school nurse Collaborate with school staff, nurses, and care teams to ensure student success Qualifications Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required) Previous experience working in a school setting or with children strongly preferred Current CPR certification (if applicable) TB test/clearance (PPD or chest X-ray, if applicable) Current health certificate (per state or contract requirements) Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements Minimum age of 18 years Patient, dependable, and comfortable working with pediatric populations Benefits & Perks Weekly pay Attendance bonuses Health, dental, vision, and life insurance options Ongoing training and support Stable Monday-Friday schedule (no nights or weekends) About Amergis Healthcare Staffing With over 30 years of experience, Amergis is a trusted leader in healthcare staffing.
