These roles are ideal for individuals looking for a long-term career in a supportive, senior-care environment.
Shift Details AM Shift:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM CNAs are responsible for providing compassionate, hands-on care to residents in a faith-based Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. This role primarily involves assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while maintaining their dignity and comfort under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Core Responsibilities Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing (partial or complete), showers, dressing, grooming (hair care, shaving, nail trimming), and oral hygiene.
Vital Sign Monitoring:
Measure and accurately record residents' vital statistics, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rates.
Mobility & Positioning:
Help residents transfer between beds and wheelchairs, assist with ambulation, and reposition bedbound residents to prevent skin breakdown (pressure sores).
Nutritional Support:
Serve meals, assist with feeding when necessary, and monitor residents' food and fluid intake to ensure nutritional requirements are met.
Communication & Observation:
Monitor and report any changes in a resident's physical condition, behavior, or health status to the supervising nurse.
Environmental Maintenance:
Keep resident areas clean and organized, change linens, and maintain a safe environment to prevent falls or infections.
Requirements & Qualifications Certification:
Must possess and maintain a current California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Background:
A felony or misdemeanor conviction may disqualify an applicant from employment.
Physical Demands:
Requires physical stamina to stand for long periods and safely lift or move residents using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts.
Soft Skills:
Ability to provide care with compassion, patience, and respect, especially when working with confused or agitated residents.
