This assignment begins 04/13/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,559 to $2,722 per week, with no guaranteed hours. Shifts are 5x8s on a rotating schedule, typically 06:00-14:30, 08:30-17:00, or 10:00-18:30, Monday through Friday. The role requires call coverage and operates in a surgical department where spine, ortho, and robot-assisted procedures are performed.

Short Term Acute Care Hospital (surgical services) Experience focus: RNFA in primary spine, ortho, and robot-assisted surgeries; strong OR background Responsibilities Provide direct intraoperative assistance as RNFA during spine, ortho, and robot-assisted procedures, including retraction, hemostasis, suction, and instrument handling. Assist the surgical team with patient positioning, draping, and maintaining sterile technique throughout cases. Anticipate surgeon needs, manage surgical trays and equipment, and ensure accurate count of instruments and materials. Monitor patient status intraoperatively, communicate changes to the team, and document intraoperative events as required. Collaborate with anesthesia, circulating nurses, and surgical staff to uphold safety standards and infection control. Participate in post-anesthesia and postoperative handoffs as appropriate and contribute to unit-level OR performance metrics. Requirements Active RN license in the state of practice (California) - Required Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent - Required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Minimum 2 years of experience as RNFA; at least 3 years of recent experience in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months OR experience with primary spine, ortho, and robot-assisted surgeriesCertifications:
