This vital role involves providing direct patient care across diverse settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. As a CNA, you will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered services that promote comfort, safety, and well-being. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a supportive environment for individuals of all ages and health conditions. We have full-time positions available for 7AM-3PM shift & 11PM-7AM shift. We also have a weekend position available for 3PM-11PM shift. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support. Maintain aseptic technique during procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and infection control practices in acute or long-term care settings. Assist with medical procedures such as phlebotomy or specimen collection when trained and authorized. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various environments—including ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, and post-acute care—to ensure comprehensive patient service. Use EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Home & Community Care platforms to document patient information accurately and efficiently. Support patients with complex needs such as those requiring hospice or Level I Trauma Center care by providing compassionate assistance aligned with best practices. Ensure safety during transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with mobility to prevent falls or injuries. Qualifications Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are preferred. Experience working in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals (ICU, trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control protocols. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for documentation purposes. Prior experience with specialized care areas including dementia/memory care, behavioral health, pediatric or geriatric populations is advantageous. Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting equipment like Hoyer lifts and assisting patients with mobility needs safely. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
