PRN Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and deliver high-quality, personalized care to individuals across various healthcare settings. Your energy, empathy, and professionalism will help create a safe, comfortable environment for patients of all ages and needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to the well-being of our community. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Patient charting and ensure proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) system (PointClickCare). Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care and wound management to prevent infection. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement person-centered care. Assist with basic life support when required; operate medical equipment safely and effectively. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold the highest standards of patient service and confidentiality. Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to individual requirements. Document patient information accurately in medical records and ensure seamless communication across care teams. Experience Proven experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in settings such as hospitals (including Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments. Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine is highly valued. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or PointClickCare. Experience with specialized populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health patients, or those requiring memory or dementia care. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices. Prior exposure to post-acute or sub-acute care settings is advantageous. Ability to work effectively with people with disabilities or developmental challenges across various healthcare environments.
