Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across a variety of settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a positive experience for patients and residents while supporting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Duties Assist patients and residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support. Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to ensure safe patient transfers and prevent injury. Maintain aseptic technique during medical procedures like catheter care or wound dressing changes to prevent infection. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute settings to deliver comprehensive patient service. Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs through compassionate caregiving tailored to individual requirements. Assist with medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems to ensure accurate recordkeeping for medical records and compliance. Participate in infection control protocols, including infectious disease care and use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Qualifications Valid CNA certification from an accredited program; current state licensure required. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living, or home & community care settings. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS). Hands-on experience with medical-surgical procedures, medication administration, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in medical documentation is preferred. Critical care experience or ICU background is highly desirable; experience in hospice or palliative care also valued. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health challenges; experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care is a plus. Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service and caregiving. Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends or holidays as needed in inpatient or outpatient settings. Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered care! $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
