This entry-level role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth department operations, assisting licensed therapists (PT, OT, SLP) in delivering patient-centered care that enhances residents' mobility, function, and overall quality of life in a geriatric setting.
Primary Responsibilities:
Transport residents safely and independently to and from the therapy department. Assemble, prepare, and position equipment and supplies for treatment sessions. Assist in positioning residents for therapy and support safe transfers as directed by professional staff. Help maintain an organized, clean, and orderly therapy area, including equipment cleaning and upkeep. Perform a variety of supportive duties essential to department efficiency, such as entering/retrieving basic information in computer systems and transporting equipment/supplies. Assist professional staff and perform other related duties as required.
