In this vital role, you will provide essential support to patients across various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. Your efforts will promote comfort, safety, and independence for those in your care while working within a dynamic team committed to excellence. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in patient observation, medical documentation, and comprehensive caregiving. Responsibilities Deliver compassionate assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, ensuring timely communication of changes to healthcare professionals. Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality. Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, ensuring a safe environment through vigilant patient observation and engagement. Document medical records and care activities using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems efficiently and accurately. Provide specialized care for individuals with developmental disabilities or those receiving hospice or long-term care services. Assist with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a sanitary environment to promote overall well-being. Qualifications Valid certification as a CNA, PCA, or HHA with current CPR certification. Prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical documentation practices. Experience operating medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or catheter care supplies is advantageous. Strong patient observation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams.
