Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation. Support clinical staff with procedures like catheter care, wound care, and basic life support techniques using aseptic methods. Help with patient transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assistive devices while adhering to safety protocols. Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or behavioral health needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control procedures and proper handling of medical supplies. Document patient information accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience Previous experience working as a CNA or in a healthcare setting such as long-term care, assisted living, hospital, or hospice is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems including eClinicalWorks or similar platforms is advantageous. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic patient care practices. Experience providing specialized care such as memory care for dementia patients or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required; additional certifications like Phlebotomy or DME (Durable Medical Equipment) training are beneficial. Exposure to acute care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers enhances your ability to handle complex patient needs confidently.
