Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients and nursing staff, ensuring a high standard of care in various settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, and medical offices. This role is crucial in assisting with daily living activities and maintaining patient comfort and safety. Duties Assist patients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff. Help with mobility by assisting patients in moving to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other locations. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using systems like Cerner. Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times. Ensure cleanliness and organization of patient areas to promote a safe environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various departments such as PICU, ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, and nursing homes to deliver comprehensive care. Support patients with developmental disabilities by understanding their unique needs. Experience Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with medical records management and electronic health record systems is advantageous. Experience working in specialized areas such as Level I Trauma Centers or emergency medicine is a plus. A background in pediatrics or working with individuals with developmental disabilities will be beneficial for providing tailored care.
