The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, such as a teaching hospital or long-term care facility. This position requires a strong commitment to caregiving, with the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including children and those needing specialized care. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients. Assist with medical procedures as directed by nursing staff, including catheter care and basic life support tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms and common areas. Support the healthcare team in delivering comprehensive care in various settings such as pediatrics, emergency medicine, and operating rooms (OR). Utilize electronic health record systems like Epic to document patient information accurately. Skills Strong caregiving skills with experience in long-term care or pediatric settings preferred. Knowledge of basic life support techniques and emergency medicine protocols. Familiarity with catheter care procedures is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and patience. Requirements:
