In this energetic position, you will support surgical teams by managing patient care logistics, maintaining sterile environments, and coordinating equipment and supplies. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional patient outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in perioperative care while working alongside dedicated medical professionals committed to excellence. Responsibilities Assist surgical teams by preparing operating rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment before procedures. Monitor and document patient vital signs, anesthesia levels, and physiological responses during surgery to ensure optimal patient stability. Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to uphold the highest standards of sterility and safety. Collect and analyze data related to surgical procedures, patient responses, and equipment performance to support continuous improvement. Coordinate with anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgeons to ensure timely availability of supplies and smooth workflow throughout surgeries. Support the management of medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms for accurate documentation. Assist with patient care activities in the perioperative environment, including positioning patients and providing post-operative support as needed. Requirements Proven experience working within hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or critical care environments such as ICU or PICU settings. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, vital signs monitoring, and aseptic techniques essential for operating room support. Prior OR experience or ambulatory surgery center experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, infection control practices, and hospital information systems like Epic or other EMR/EHR platforms. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as suturing or advanced trauma life support are advantageous. Demonstrated ability to collect data accurately, analyze clinical information effectively, and maintain meticulous medical records.
