Job Description
Emergency Medicine NP or PA Port Charlotte, FL Deliver emergency care in a predictable, team-based environment where weekday-only shifts, no overnights, and a manageable pace allow you to focus on patient care without burnout. Must-Haves Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (required) Approximately 2 years of recent hospital-based Emergency Medicine experience (for credentialing purposes) Active Florida license or ability to obtain ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (required) ATLS certification preferred but not required What You'll Do You'll provide emergency care in a community hospital setting , working alongside a collaborative team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute conditions. Your clinical expertise will directly impact patient outcomes in an environment designed for sustainability and work-life balance. You'll work weekday coverage only with 8-hour shifts , eliminating the overnight responsibilities and unpredictable schedules common in emergency medicine. This structure allows you to maintain a predictable routine while delivering high-quality care in a supportive, team-based emergency department culture. Using Meditech EMR , you'll document patient encounters, coordinate care with physicians and specialists, and ensure continuity throughout the treatment process. The permanent 1099 role provides flexibility in how you structure your practice while offering strong earning potential.
