Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity. Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, using appropriate medical equipment. Support clinical procedures by preparing patients and assisting with tasks such as catheter care, wound care, and medication administration under supervision. Document patient information clearly and thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor patient conditions closely, report changes promptly to nursing staff, and assist in emergency response situations utilizing basic life support skills. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during patient interactions. Work with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs, providing compassionate support tailored to each patient's unique requirements. Experience Prior experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic medical procedures such as phlebotomy or catheter care is advantageous. Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner enhances your ability to document patient care efficiently. Exposure to specialized care areas including ICU, trauma centers (Level I or II), hospice, geriatrics, dementia/memory care units or pediatric settings is beneficial. Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques relevant to acute and post-acute care environments is essential. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children, seniors, individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges demonstrates your versatility as a caregiver.
