Caregiver Responsibilities:
Provide friendly companionship for clients. Assisting clients with daily activities such as emotional support and socialization, transportation, running errands, and grocery shopping. Provide homemaking care including help with dressing, grooming, meal preparations, medication reminders, laundry, and light housekeeping. Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, mobility, incontinence care, feeding, and other services as needed.
Job Requirements:

Deliver direct patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with specialized care needs such as catheter care, hospice support, Alzheimer's and dementia care, and memory care activities. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document patient information clearly and efficiently. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively to promote patient comfort and safety. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation in accordance with health standards. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed accurately. Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and documentation practices essential for quality caregiving. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a trusting and respectful relationship. Qualifications Valid CNA certification or HHA license required; prior experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical procedures including vital signs measurement, medication administration, catheter care, and hospice support. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient records. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in home & community care settings. Excellent communication skills coupled with patience, empathy, and professionalism. Physical ability to assist with patient mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts; capable of performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and meal preparation.
