Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide exceptional in-home care to clients with diverse needs. This role involves assisting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence within their homes or community settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, familiarity with medical documentation, and a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for those they serve. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly valued. Responsibilities Provide personal care including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitor and observe patients' conditions, reporting any changes or concerns promptly Support patients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assistive devices Perform vital signs checks including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Provide specialized care for patients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, hospice needs, or memory care requirements Support patients during activities that promote mental and physical well-being within the home or community setting Follow all safety protocols including CPR certification and infection control procedures Skills Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of medical terminology and medical documentation practices Ability to assist with ADLs and use medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and catheters safely Familiarity HIPAA compliance for maintaining patient confidentiality Compassionate caregiving skills tailored to seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia or Alzheimer's care Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and family members Ability to work independently while adhering to care plans and safety standards CPR certification is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or long-term care experience are advantageous This position is ideal for caring professionals committed to delivering high-quality home health services. Candidates should possess a genuine desire to support individuals in maintaining their independence and dignity while providing comprehensive patient-centered care. Requirements 2+ years' work experience Basic Health and Tuberculosis Screening Participate in Quality Improvement Program Requirement for job duties able to lift up to 50lbs State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification or HHA Certificate Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Current CPR (American Heart Association). High School graduate or equivalent.
Valid Driver's License and Insurance Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
