CNA Respite care

Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide respite care services to individuals in need of temporary support. Respite:

60 hrs per month, client is willing to work around CNA schedule with the exception of July 2026. Client needs care July 26-July 31. CNA required for this case. Responsibilities Provide attentive patient observation to monitor health status and respond promptly to changes or emergencies. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Administer medications and perform medical documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, vital signs monitors, and catheter care devices with precision and safety. Support clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques and compassionate engagement. Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation. Document patient care activities thoroughly using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for accurate medical records management. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed, including hospice or long-term care needs. Assist with home & community-based services by supporting clients in their daily routines within their homes or community settings. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care procedures. Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring dementia or Alzheimer's care. Familiarity with medical documentation systems such as EHR or EMR platforms is preferred. Proven ability to work effectively with seniors and individuals with disabilities in a compassionate manner. Long-term care experience that includes handling complex health conditions like hospice or memory-related illnesses is advantageous. Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications such as hospice care training or catheter care are a plus.
