In this vital role, you will assist nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. Whether working in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or specialized units such as the ICU or Geriatrics, you will be at the forefront of supporting recovery and well-being. Responsibilities Provide direct patient assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support. Assist nursing staff with clinical procedures and monitor patient conditions to ensure safety and comfort. Support patient positioning, vital sign collection, and documentation to facilitate effective care planning. Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as medical-surgical units, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or post-acute care facilities. Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records and report any changes or concerns promptly. Participate in training sessions to stay current with hospital policies, emergency procedures, and specialized care requirements like trauma or outpatient services. Skills Prior experience in Level II trauma centers or hospital medicine environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and experience working within Level I Trauma Centers is a strong plus. Familiarity with pediatric intensive care units (PICU), surgical units (OR experience), geriatrics, medical-surgical wards, or outpatient clinics enhances your versatility. Experience in post-acute care settings or sub-acute care environments demonstrates adaptability across the continuum of patient recovery. Ability to work effectively in inpatient, outpatient, teaching hospital, or clinic settings with a focus on delivering compassionate patient-centered care. Strong communication skills combined with a proactive approach to teamwork and patient safety are essential. Certification as a Nurse Aide (CNA) is required; additional certifications related to emergency or trauma care are advantageous.
