Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, personalized care to our residents and patients, supporting their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive environment where individuals feel valued and cared for. This position offers flexible scheduling options, allowing you to make a meaningful difference whenever your skills are needed most. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring accurate medical documentation Support medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff, following proper aseptic techniques and HIPAA guidelines Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, ensuring their safety and comfort in memory care settings Assist with patient transfers and positioning using appropriate techniques for safety and comfort in various care environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities Maintain infection control standards by practicing proper hand hygiene, using PPE (personal protective equipment), and adhering to aseptic techniques during patient interactions Document patient care activities accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner Requirements Valid CNA certification with current state licensure or registration Prior experience working in long-term care, assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), or home care settings Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic anatomy and physiology Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic is preferred Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting with Hoyer lifts and assisting with patient mobility Excellent communication skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide compassionate patient service Join us in delivering exceptional care that makes a real difference!
