Job Description
Nursing Assistant Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. This position is in the 6 bed inpatient unit setting. We have a fulltime day shift position (7AM-7PM 3 days per week with rotating weekends and holidays) We also have a PRN/part-time night shift position (7PM-7AM with some weekends and holidays) As a CNA in our inpatient unit, you will be responsible for personal care/hygiene, vital signs, and supporting the Charge RN on a daily basis. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas. Document patient care activities accurately in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Assist Charge Nurse with wound care, vital signs, etc. Provide support for patients and families Skills Experience in long-term care or hospice is preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Compassionate approach towards working with patients with a terminal illness.
