Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver
HHA/PCA/CNA
to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient well-being, with experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or working with individuals with disabilities. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those needing personal care, medical support, and companionship. The caregiver will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care while adhering to all safety and privacy standards. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance. Monitor and observe patients' health status, including vital signs and behavioral changes, reporting any concerns promptly. Provide medication reminders Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, ensuring a safe and comforting environment. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with meal planning and preparation. Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing personal spaces. Operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe patient transfers. Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being for clients with hospice or long-term care needs. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care in home or community settings. Skills Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques and medical terminology relevant to caregiving roles. Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Skilled in assisting with ADLs, medication supervision, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required Ability to operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts safely and effectively while ensuring patient comfort. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care. Experience in home & community care settings along with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of infection control practices including cleaning protocols and maintaining a hygienic environment.
