Job Description

Nursing Assistant Job Description We are growing again! Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures. Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique during the procedure. Assists other members of the team with terminal cleaning of the room. Assists in prepping the room for the next patient. Obtains appropriate sterile and unsterile items needed for the procedure. Opens sterile supplies. As directed by the LPN/RN after the patient has been verified and cleared for procedure brings the patient to the assigned operating room. Transfers patients to operating tables. Positions patients as needed for specific procedures. Verifies patient's identity and assists patient from the waiting room to the Pre-OP area. Assists in Pre-OP/PACU when needed and performs CLIA-waived testing on patients after receiving training. Assists with monitoring the patients and reports any abnormal findings to RN/LPN. Cleans up patient and places ordered dressing on the patient after the procedure. Helps transport the patient to post-op. Completes post-op documentation and charts findings in patient chart. Reports any abnormal findings to RN/LPN Consults with RN/LPN prior to discharge, to ensure patient is hemodynamically stable and ready to discharge. Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. Maintains education of surgical procedures being performed. Completes daily cleaning as assigned by DON/RN/LPN or supervisor. Completes daily paperwork as assigned by DON/Rn Supervisor. Upholds HIPAA and Confidentiality regulations. Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment. Keeps skills up to date and increases knowledge and productivity. Seeks educational opportunities to increase clinical competency. Attends staff development programs as related to procedures. Maintains current
CPR/ACLS
per policy Maintains current license/certification for job description. Embraces teamwork. Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager Assist with supply management to include expired items and putting stock away. Train and mentor new staff.
