  • 2nd & 3rd Shift / Weekends Needed Ohana Community Services, LLC is seeking reliable, caring, and professional Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential CILA/group home setting.
We are currently hiring for 2nd shift, 3rd shift/awake overnight, and weekend availability . We are looking for dependable staff who are patient, trustworthy, and able to provide respectful support while helping individuals live safely, comfortably, and as independently as possible. Position Summary The DSP is responsible for assisting individuals with daily living skills, personal care, community involvement, household routines, documentation, and safety supervision. This position requires strong communication, patience, reliability, and the ability to follow each individual's care plan and agency expectations. Available Shifts We are currently hiring for: 2nd Shift 3rd Shift / Awake Overnight !! Weekends required or strongly preferred Some holidays may be required Applicants must have reliable availability and understand that staffing coverage is essential in a residential setting. Responsibilities Support individuals with daily living needs and personal care Assist with meals, hygiene, cleaning, laundry, and household routines Follow each individual's implementation plan, behavior plan, and support needs Encourage independence, dignity, respect, and community participation Complete required documentation, communication logs, checklists, and reports Monitor client safety and report concerns immediately Support individuals during community outings and appointments Follow medication, meal, safety, and supervision expectations Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful home environment Communicate professionally with house leads, supervisors, QIDPs, nursing, and administration Follow all company policies, attendance expectations, and training requirements Requirements Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED preferred DSP, CNA, caregiving, behavioral health, or group home experience preferred Must be dependable and able to report to work on time Must be available for 2nd shift, 3rd shift/awake overnight, and/or weekends Must be able to complete required background checks and registry checks Must be willing to complete required DSP training and ongoing trainings Must be able to document accurately and follow written instructions Must be patient, respectful, and comfortable working with individuals with disabilities Must be able to assist with personal care, cleaning, cooking, and daily routines Must be able to stay awake for the full overnight shift, if working 3rd shift Valid driver's license preferred, especially for staff who may transport individuals Preferred Qualities Reliable attendance Strong communication skills Calm under pressure Patient and respectful Comfortable with behaviors and redirection Honest and professional Able to work independently Team-oriented Good documentation skills Pay Pay is based on experience, certification, shift, and qualifications.
