Nurse Assistant Certified CNA - Med/Surg - Nights

Join Our Deaconess Team! We're looking for compassionate Nurse Assistant Certified (CNA) to join our Medical / Surgical team at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center. As part of our dedicated care team, you'll provide safe, patient-centered care while working in a collaborative and supportive environment where your skills truly matter.

Job Overview:

A hospital CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) provides essential support to patients and nursing staff. They assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, take vital signs, and help with mobility and positioning. CNAs also provide comfort and observe patient conditions, reporting any changes to nurses. Strong communication and compassionate care are key components of the role.

Qualifications/Education:

Valid CNA certification in the state of Illinois. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Compassionate, patient-focused, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.

Compensation:

Licenses/Certificates:

Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross BLS certification required upon hire. Certification in the State of Illinois required. See addendum for unit specific certification (if any) requirements

Incentives:

Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
