The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care, acute, or hospital environments, with a strong focus on patient safety and comfort. This role involves working closely with healthcare teams to deliver personalized care, assist with daily activities, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. The CNA will play a vital role in supporting patients' physical and emotional well-being in a respectful and professional manner. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, or behavioral health requirements. Maintain proper infection control practices using aseptic techniques and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Document patient information precisely in electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems) and medical documentation systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, post-acute care, or outpatient clinics to ensure comprehensive patient care. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients with disabilities or those requiring long-term or hospice care. Ensure a safe environment by recognizing potential hazards and following safety protocols in high-acuity areas like trauma centers or pediatric units. Skills Proven experience in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (Level I Trauma Center, Level II Trauma Center), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Cerner, eClinicalWorks, and other medical documentation platforms. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care procedures. Ability to work effectively with vulnerable populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs. Skilled in vital signs monitoring with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and providing compassionate patient service. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments such as ICU, urgent care, or acute care units. Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique and handling infectious disease cases.
