LPN CNA Instructor

The Program Instructor will be a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge, a sound understanding of the Certified Nursing Assistant curriculum and a strong desire to teach student the necessary skills to be successful in the field. Clinical rotation occurs monthly, then lasts for two weeks. This position is ideal for a retired nurse or someone who already is employed PRN or part time.

Responsibilities Include:

Oversee students during 75 hr clinical rotation in long term care facility in Lafayette, IN Teach the curriculum as outlined by the Program Director and mandated by the Indiana State Department of Health Supervises and ensures that each student is following all Federal, State, program and facility rules, regulations policies and procedures. Assists in maintaining and updating records for each site review Assists with coordinating the scheduling of clinicals for each rotation Will work closely with the leadership and staff in the facility to identify and incorporate Lightstone core values, key policies and processes into the CNA program as much as possible

QUALIFICATIONS

The Program Instructor must be a licensed nurse, with a current, active license to practice; with at least two years of nursing experience, at least one of which is in the provision of long term care facility services caring for the elderly or the chronically ill of any age, in direct patient care. Experience as a CNA preferred, but not required Must be self motivated, neat and have great communication skills If interested and meet the above qualifications, please submit resume
