Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the night shift, offering full-time or part-time opportunities. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients across various settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being during overnight hours. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding during night shifts to promote comfort and independence Monitor and record vital signs, patient conditions, and responses to treatments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner Support medical staff by preparing patient rooms, assisting with medical procedures including catheter care and medication administration, and ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained Observe patients closely for signs of distress or changes in condition, especially in specialized areas such as ICU, emergency medicine, or behavioral health units Help with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe mobility practices aligned with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records, maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and confidentiality laws Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, or home care settings Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer's disease, and those requiring hospice or memory care Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate documentation and patient data management Knowledge of critical care environments including ICU, Level I Trauma Centers, Level II Trauma Centers, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and acute care settings Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology principles relevant to patient care procedures Ability to perform basic life support (BLS), vital signs monitoring and infection control practices effectively Experience with specialized procedures like phlebotomy or working within surgical or hospital medicine units is highly valued Excellent caregiving skills combined with the ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism Join us in providing exceptional night-time nursing assistance that transforms patient experiences.
