PRN CNA/CMA
who's passionate about caring for seniors and being part of a supportive, upbeat team. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
Morningstar Assisted Living & Memory Care Community Position Summary:
The CNA/CMA provides compassionate, resident-centered care while supporting daily living activities and administering medications as assigned. This role ensures residents maintain dignity, independence, and the highest quality of life in a safe and supportive environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Resident Care (CNA Duties): Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Provide assistance with transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, and mental condition Take and record vital signs as assigned Assist with meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment Medication Administration (CMA Duties): Administer medications as ordered by the physician and according to state regulations Accurately document medication administration and report any concerns Observe residents for adverse reactions or side effects Ensure proper storage and handling of medications
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs Communicate effectively with families, nurses, and team members Follow community policies, safety guidelines, and infection control procedures Assist with activities and encourage resident engagement
Qualifications:
Valid CNA or CMA certification Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and reliable Ability to work as part of a team and follow care plans Have the ability to "wear multiple hats" when needed
