Position Overview (Shower Aide - CNA Required) Heritage Grove Estates is seeking a compassionate and dependable Shower Aide to support residents with bathing and personal hygiene needs within our skilled nursing environment. This role is essential in promoting resident dignity, comfort, cleanliness, and overall well-being. As a Shower Aide, you will work closely with nursing staff and the interdisciplinary care team to provide safe and respectful assistance with bathing, transfers, and personal care. This position requires an active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification to safely assist residents with transfers and mobility during showering and bathing activities. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with showers, bathing, and personal hygiene activities in accordance with care plans and facility procedures Promote resident dignity, comfort, privacy, and safety during bathing and personal care services Safely assist residents with transfers and mobility using proper lifting techniques and equipment Observe and report changes in resident skin condition, mobility, or overall well-being to nursing staff Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of shower rooms, bathing equipment, and related areas Ensure bathing schedules are completed efficiently and in accordance with resident needs and preferences Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to support quality resident care Follow infection control procedures, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times Provide compassionate support and positive interaction with residents to enhance quality of life Qualifications Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required in the State of Kansas Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred Ability to safely transfer and assist residents with mobility and personal care needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient-centered approach to resident care Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Dependable, organized, and able to manage assigned tasks efficiently Commitment to maintaining resident dignity, safety, and comfort Benefits Competitive compensation Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunities for career advancement and professional development Grow With Us At Heritage Grove Estates, we are committed to supporting the growth of our team members.
