Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings. This dynamic position offers opportunities to work in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. You will assist with patient needs, perform vital sign assessments, support medical procedures, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for patients and their families while supporting the clinical team in delivering exceptional care. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other transfer devices Monitor and record vital signs accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, medication administration, and aseptic techniques in various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and long-term care facilities Support patients with specialized needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, behavioral health management, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by ensuring confidentiality of patient records and medical documentation Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in critical environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, Level I & II trauma centers, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and surgical units Demonstrate proficiency in physiology and anatomy knowledge to support accurate patient assessments and documentation of symptoms Utilize skills in infection control practices for infectious disease care and urgent care scenarios while adhering to strict aseptic techniques Assist in patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids while ensuring safety standards are met at all times Qualifications Valid CNA or CMA certification required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are highly preferred Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals (ICU, emergency medicine), long-term care (nursing homes, assisted living), or home & community care settings Prior experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks preferred; familiarity with medical terminology and documentation standards is essential Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration protocols, catheter care, and infection control practices Experience working with special populations such as pediatrics or geriatrics is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and healthcare team members Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting patients using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Join us in making a meaningful difference by providing compassionate patient-centered care!
