Provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance and direction of the registered nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health and social needs; comfort and safety measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid need; and elimination needs.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education GED or High School Diploma required or current high school student in pursuit of GED to be obtained within one calendar year Certification indicating successful completion of a Nurse's Aide/Technician training and competency course preferred. BLS required Minimum Work Experience Knowledge of principles of patient hygiene, comfort, and safety measures. Previous experience as a patient care provider helpful.FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS

Age Specific- Pediatrics Demonstrates knowledge of pediatric growth and development norms and appropriately addresses abnormal findings.

- Geriatrics Demonstrates knowledge of the normal aging process.
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Other duties/Non-Essentials Performs additional task as assigned. Attends and satisfactorily completes annual competency. Completes annual HealthStream assignments as assigned. Attends in services on new equipment. Participates in 75% of staff meetings as evidence by attendance records. Floats to other areas as assigned with a positive attitude. Qualifications Education Required High School or equivalent or better.
