Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team, working either the 6A-2P or 2P-10P shift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with experience in various healthcare settings including long-term care, hospitals, assisted living, and behavioral health. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, personalized care to our patients and residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity are maintained at all times. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs accurately while maintaining detailed medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support patients with medication administration under supervision and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments, including implementing memory care strategies. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care in settings such as medical-surgical units, ICU, emergency departments, or post-acute care facilities. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with patient transfers and positioning using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to prevent injury. Support patients experiencing behavioral health challenges or developmental disabilities with patience and understanding. Participate in ongoing training related to emergency medicine, trauma centers, hospice care, or pediatric care to enhance skill set. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the applicable state. Prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms for medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring. Experience providing specialized care including dementia/Alzheimer's care, hospice services, or pediatric support is highly desirable. Proficiency in infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient interactions. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
