Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist patients
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment as needed
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Document patient information and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA)
- Experience in medical office, senior care, or assisted living settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and procedures
- Familiarity with medical equipment and devices (DME)
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assist with patient assessments
- Understanding of dementia care and memory care principles
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
