Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Overview:

Duties:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Take vital signs and record patient information accurately
• Provide assistance during medical procedures and examinations
• Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff
• Help patients with mobility and transfers
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
• Collect specimens for laboratory testing
• Assist with feeding patients as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Experience with electronic medical records systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Familiarity with working in a hospital or critical care setting
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills:

• Experience working with individuals with behavioral health or developmental disabilities is a plus
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand medical records
• Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) usage and maintenance
