Job Description

We are looking to hire a highly motivated LPN and/or Medical Assistant to join our clinical team at our surgery center. We are a gastroenterology office/surgery center with a high patient volume. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast pace environment, eager to learn, and team-oriented. The candidate must be dependable and reliable. This position plays an important role in patient flow, assisting with recovery, preparing charts, and supporting daily surgery center operations. Ideal candidates are organized, able to multitask in a fast-paced enviroment, compassionate with patients, and willing to jump in where needed.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with patient triage and intake Obtaining and documenting vital signs Entering medications, allergies, medical history, and other patient information into the EHR Assisting with recovery room patient flow Cleaning and disinfecting recovery bays between patients Escorting patients safely to their vehicles upon discharge Working up charts for upcoming procedures Preparing the surgery center for the following day Completing pre-op phone calls with patients Assisting physicians and nursing staff as needed Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the center Performing additional duties as assigned by
DON/management Qualifications LPN Applicants:
Current Louisiana LPN license in good standing
MA Applicants:
Medical Assistant experience preferred Certification Preferred Experience GI, endoscopy, surgery center, or clinical experience preferred Experience with EHR systems preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Schedule Part-time position 6AM start time Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, occasionally some Thursdays for scoping days Potential to turn full-time which is a 40 hour work week with the above start time except on Thursday and Fridays. On days we are not scoping, it is a regular 8am work day.
