The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities. This role involves working closely with patients and requires a keen ability to observe and report on patient conditions while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities vary depending on the role Homemaker Assist clients with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as: Light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, laundry, dishes, trash removal), Meal preparation and safe food storage, Grocery shopping and errands (as assigned), and Medication reminders (non-medical support only) Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment. PCA/HHA Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance. Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques. Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the healthcare team. Observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior and communicate findings effectively. Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and meal preparation. Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Document care provided in accordance with established systems and procedures. Experience Previous experience in caregiving or assisted living environments is preferred but not required. Familiarity with patient observation techniques and vital sign monitoring is a plus. Understanding of dementia care principles is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
