Job Description
Crossway Home Care is seeking experienced, compassionate, and dependable Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide exceptional patient-centered care to clients throughout the Merrimack Valley region of Massachusetts, including but not limited to Haverhill, Lowell, Amesbury, and surrounding communities. We are looking for caregivers who are passionate about helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while remaining safely in the comfort of their own homes.
Position Overview:
As a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, companionship, and supportive care to elderly clients in the community. This role is ideal for caregivers who are reliable, patient-centered, and committed to delivering high-quality home care services.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support mobility, ambulation, and safe transfers.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping duties.
- Complete laundry and maintain a safe, organized home environment.
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and grocery shopping as needed.
- Observe and report changes in client condition to the care team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding client care.
- Follow individualized care plans and agency policies.
- Deliver compassionate, respectful, and professional care at all times. Qualifications
- Current HHA or CNA certification required.
- Previous home care, long-term care, assisted living, or caregiving experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical caregiving tasks.
- Medical clearance and TB testing required prior to hire.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the assigned service area.
