The daily duties and responsibilities of a CNA include: Help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Provide basic healthcare services including checking vital signs like temperature, pulse rate, and respiration rate and medication reminders Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as preparing meals and doing laundry Help clients maintain their exercise and physical therapy routines Keep records of client's health condition and reporting any significant changes to the agency Assist with mobility, helping them move around the house or outside Provide emotional support and companionship to patients Transport patients to doctor appointments or other essential errands if needed Qualifications Active Maryland CNA certification in good standing PPD (Chest X-ray) Vaccinated (Covid Vaccine) CPR/First Aid certification Ability to pass background checks and reference checks Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (preferred) Ability to lift, push or pull up to 40lbs with or without assistance 1-year experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred Fluent in English Skills A genuine passion for helping others and a patient, empathetic demeanor Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others Reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining patient dignity Ability to work independently and follow directions Respect for client privacy and confidentiality Professional appearance and attitude Work Environment

  • Flexible schedules including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking and lifting for extended periods
  • Assisting clients with mobility and transfers
